About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Load and Maintain Raw Materials: Keep the looms running smoothly by loading and maintaining the necessary raw materials on reels.
- Yarn Knowledge: Learn and understand different yarn types commonly used and their applications in the weaving process.
- Machine Operation: Ensure the continuous production of high-quality tape, from the beginning of the weaving process to the final product on the reel, all while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
- Maintenance Tasks: Check and maintain lube levels in the lubricator, verify proper weaving of weft and lockstitch, program printers for required messages, and monitor fluid levels.
- Quality Control: Check and maintain print quality, measurement markings, and appropriately label or tag products processed off the printer.
- Mechanical Skills: Develop mechanical aptitude and troubleshoot problems as they arise.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety requirements, adhere to policies and procedures outlined in the associate handbook, and maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Additional Duties: Be flexible to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently.
- Adherence to all Safety Measures and Procedures (GMP's, SOP's).
- Ability to read measuring instruments and a keen interest in troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs with or without assistance, with occasional bending and staying in a bent-over position.
- Flexibility for long shifts, weekends, and nights.
- Prior experience in a warehouse setting is required.
- Experience with forklifts and pallet jacks is a plus.
- Ability to walk and stand on a concrete floor for extended periods.
