About the role
- Support the development of wire & cable compounds, while ensuring regulatory compliance for all the applicable requirements across all product lines.
- Responds to inquiries from customers and regulatory authorities.
- Contributing to quality system Improvements and digitalization Initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet technical, regulatory and quality standards.
- Participate in safety, health, and loss control training so that at a minimum general knowledge of applicable OSHA and state requirements are maintained.
- Lead and support the development of wire & cable products, ensuring they meet technical specifications and performance requirements.
- Advise about the regulatory compliance for all products manufactured, keeping up to date with relevant standards and legislation.
- Collaborate with quality teams to support system improvement, digitalization (quality reports), and process optimization initiatives.
- Provide technical support to production, engineering, and other cross functional teams during product development.
- Document processes, test results, and regulatory compliance evidence as required.
- Any other tasks requested by the Sr. Technical Manager.
Requirements
- BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or other related science discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years product development and regulatory compliance.
- General Knowledge of PVC compounding & Formulation.
- General knowledge of plastic compounding processes.
- Specialized knowledge of major regulatory bodies and regulations.
- Knowledge and understanding of global product regulatory requirements and international standards (GHS, TSCA, FDA, REACH, ISO, OSHA, RoHS).
- Knowledge and proficiency In using computers and software Including SAP and MS Office.
- Broad knowledge of environmental regulations.
