About the role
- Align priorities with the Procurement Manager, balancing multiple requests
- Act as a partner, enabler, and facilitator, ensuring internal customers receive value for every dollar spent
- Work closely with operations, mechanical, and electrical teams to understand their needs and translate them into smart commercial solutions
- Lead supplier appraisals, selection, and negotiations for medium-complexity procurements
- Help implement and continuously improve procurement strategies, processes, and procedures
- Monitor and report procurement spend, supporting the Procurement Manager with data, insights, and recommendations
Requirements
- Degree in Business Studies
- 5+ years of SAP experience required (S4 and P2P preferred)
- In-depth knowledge of contract law, purchasing terms, and conditions
- Strong expertise in supplier selection strategies and negotiations
- Experience managing suppliers across different geographical regions with varying legal and financial conditions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across functions
- Strong IT capability, including SAP, Microsoft Office, and advanced Excel
- A proactive, organized, and detail-oriented approach to managing competing priorities
- A mindset focused on value creation, compliance, and continuous improvement
