About the role

  • Responsible for managing and leading the back-office sales team in supporting the external sales teams and management for continued sales growth
  • Identifying and implementing new ways of working to support and improve sales team effectiveness
  • Manage and execute the SAMBA and Upstream Sales strategy through Northern Europe Territory
  • Manage, maintain and improve the CRM for Northern Europe
  • Positive engagement towards Health and Safety following all guidelines
  • People leadership of a team of 2 Project Coordinators and 1 commercial report writer
  • Management of the administration of opportunities within the CRM system to agreed criteria and KPIs
  • Management and execution of Sales Excellence for Northern Europe
  • Management and execution of CRM for Northern Europe
  • Management of execution of Sales Strategy for Northern Europe
  • Provide reporting for senior management
  • Lead continual improvement plans for the function working closely with the Territory CRM Manager
  • Perform won/loss analysis and lead win rate/win value improvement plans with regional managers
  • Embrace, adhere and embed the SAMBA methodology
  • Co-ordinate all SAMBA related administration and OC improvement plans
  • Auditing of opportunity wins in-line with agreed criteria
  • Ensure all reports/administration are factual, accurate and delivered on time
  • Communicate regularly and widely at every level
  • Conduct all activities compliant to legal, regulatory and company requirements
  • Successfully manage all budgets within the role’s remit
  • Other reasonable duties as assigned by line management

Requirements

  • Experience of working in a leadership role in the building products and construction industry
  • Demonstrable experience and detailed knowledge of core sales processes
  • Demonstrable success of improving opportunity win rates
  • CRM and Project Management proficiency
  • Experience at operating within a highly driven Health and Safety environment
  • Highly committed to and focused on accident prevention and incident reporting
  • Some building products or construction industry experience
  • Demonstrable results and a high achiever in a multi-national business or brand/market leader
  • Excellent training, coaching and people management credentials
  • Possesses sound strategic understanding and ability to make tactical decisions
  • IT Literate in Microsoft packages, CRM Dynamics and SAMBA frameworks
  • Demonstrates strong organisational and planning skills
  • Excellent numerical, analytical and verbal reasoning skills
  • Customer focused and market orientated with sound commercial awareness
  • Develops and shares effective contacts, networks and partnerships
  • Exercises confidentiality and discretion, where required
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity
