Own the success and growth of the engineers on your team
Hold the bar on technical decisions, reviewing architecture and design docs
Advocate for developer experience and a high standard of API design
Drive scoping, costing, and estimation, set clear expectations
Lead high-quality QA, with particular attention to correctness and completeness
Cultivate a collaborative, inclusive team culture
Partner closely with Product and Design, contributing directly to product discovery

Requirements

What you’ll need

6+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2+ years as an engineering manager or tech lead manager equivalent
A track record of growing engineers and holding a high bar for technical excellence
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and enjoy establishing a team's foundations
Deep technical understanding of distributed systems, data modeling, and system architecture
Partner naturally with Product and Design, advocating for the customer's perspective
