About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Demonstrate excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.
- Teach four courses per semester across the areas of communication, strategic communication, strategic media, journalism, and debate.
- The ability to contribute to the management and advising of the debate team or student newspaper is a plus.
- Teach at the undergraduate and graduate level courses in both face-to-face and virtual modalities.
- Advising undergraduate and graduate students.
- Connect students with and review internship opportunities.
- Engage in scholarly research, presentations, and publications and in professional development activities.
- Be involved in university activities such as faculty meetings, committee meetings, retreats, and chapel services.
Requirements
What you’ll need- A Ph.D. in Communication or terminal degree in a closely related discipline is preferred.
- ABD candidates may also be considered.
- Integrating a Spirit-empowered Christian faith in the classroom.
- Have a demonstrated history of or potential for successful and excellent teaching and student engagement.
