About the role

  • First point of contact with the School of Medicine HR Office and Department of Psychiatry leadership.
  • Budget development responsibilities for HR Core and the Department.
  • Works with HR Program Manager to manage staff and faculty hiring procedures including letters of offer, background checks, new employee orientation/training.
  • Manages HR Core funding.
  • Subject matter expert on HCM transactions for new hires, salary adjustments, job changes, FTE, funding distribution updates, promotions, additional pay, terminations, etc.
  • Works with HR Payroll Specialist, DOP finance and Division Administrators on faculty and staff merit increases and HCM process.
  • Provide HR leadership to Department of Psychiatry collaborators.
  • Organize and maintain HR strategic goals.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in public administration, public policy, business, higher education administration, social sciences, behavioral sciences or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
  • 4 to 6 years of professional level experience in general HR.
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year-for-year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
  • Experience in CU Systems including HCM, OnBase, CU Data, FIMS, PRiSM.
  • Experience in FMLA and FAMLI.
  • Experience in Smartsheet’s.
  • Knowledge of CU HR and Finance policies and procedures.
