About the role
- Develop, manage, and execute digital marketing initiatives, including website content, social media platforms, email newsletters, and digital campaigns.
- Create and edit compelling written content for newsletters, blogs, newsroom articles, web pages, and marketing collateral.
- Maintain and enhance the organization’s online presence through content updates, SEO best practices, and performance tracking.
- Support planning, marketing, and execution of 3–5 large annual events, including promotion, materials development, and on-site communications.
- Coordinate and support the DBMI Research Seminar Series and Wellbeing program, including the creation of promotional materials (e.g., flyers), event promotion, and management of the associated procurement processes.
- Develop event marketing plans, timelines, and promotional content to drive engagement and attendance.
- Ensure brand standards, tone, and messaging are consistent across all communications channels.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Public Relations, or a related field.
- A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
- Two (2) years of professional experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- An advanced degree (Masters or Doctorate) may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis if the degree is in a field of study directly related to the work assignment.
- Demonstrated experience with digital marketing channels, including web, social media, and email marketing.
- One (1) or more years of experience in healthcare marketing or a regulated industry; prefer to have experience in CU Anschutz and / or Department of Biomedical Informatics.
- Working experience and familiarity with marketing and communications tools such as: Content management systems (CMS) Email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact, HubSpot) Social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social) Analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) Basic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva)
