About the role

  • Work within the Division of Family Planning, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Work with other research coordinators in the Division of Family Planning.
  • Remote work; dedicate a minimum of 10 hours per week to medical record review to assess long-term outcomes in contraceptive initiators.
  • Reviewing medical charts, extracting data, and recording data in REDCap.
  • Administrative work including submitting invoices for payment and management of gift card programs.
  • Recording of clinical information, data entry, data query resolution, basic analyses for grant submission, presentations, or publication, and medical record review for study purposes.
  • No independent medical decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in any field
  • Bachelor’s degree in science or health related field (preferred)
  • Clinical research or related experience (preferred)
  • Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems) (preferred)
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
  • Outstanding customer service skills
  • Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
  • Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
