About the role
- Work within the Division of Family Planning, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Remote position dedicating a minimum of 10 hours per week to medical record review to assess long-term outcomes in contraceptive initiators
- Review medical charts, extract data, and record data in REDCap (Research Electronic Data Capture)
- Recording of clinical information, data entry, data query resolution, basic analyses for grant submission, presentations, or publication
- Administrative work including submitting invoices for payment and management of gift card programs
- Collaborate with other research coordinators in the Division of Family Planning
- Will not be called on to make independent medical decisions
- Opportunities for independent study credits, practicum and capstone or thesis work
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field (minimum)
- Bachelor’s degree in science or health related field (preferred)
- Clinical research or related experience (preferred)
- Experience with electronic data capture systems (e.g. EMR or EHR and data management systems) (preferred)
- Knowledge and understanding of federal regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
- Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Knowledge of basic human anatomy, physiology medical terminology
- Ability to interpret and master complex research protocol information
