About the role

  • Support the Colorado Center for Personalized Medicine by driving financial operations and strategic reporting.
  • Prepare monthly budget reconciliations and reports using A2E, CU-Data, and other systems.
  • Build and maintain custom financial reporting tools and dashboards for faculty and staff.
  • Develop and implement Power BI dashboards to improve financial and business reporting.
  • Run monthly budget meetings, present financial reports, identify trends, and make recommendations.
  • Develop annual budgets for State, Auxiliary, gift accounts, and other fund types.
  • Launch and manage revenue cycle activities for payer billing, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Develop and lead financial reporting for new projects, including the organoid initiative.
  • Manage tuition revenue for graduate certificate and degree programs, including forecasting and reconciliation.
  • Prepare and process Journal Entries (JEs), Payroll Expense Transfers (PETs), and funding updates.
  • Maintain personnel funding forecasts and improve executive reporting transparency.
  • Manage funding distributions for staff and faculty across multiple funding sources.
  • Liaise with partners in schools, departments, and units across campus regarding shared staff and financial interests.
  • Prepare and manage monthly financial reports for hospital partners, including explanations of cost-to-budget variations.
  • Partner with directors on service center activities, including cost studies, invoicing, and compliance.
  • Create and maintain a central database for tracking revenue and expense agreements.
  • Provide guidance to staff on purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring appropriate use of funding sources and compliance with university policies and restrictions.
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures for financial and procurement activities; train staff and faculty.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and reporting in a complex organization.
  • Experience with business intelligence tools and data visualization.
  • Familiarity with revenue cycle management and payer billing processes.
  • Proficiency in Power BI, Excel (advanced), and financial systems such as A2E and CU-Data.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and university financial policies.
  • Ability to develop automated dashboards and integrate data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation abilities for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
