About the role
- Gather, validate, and analyze data from various sources such as the university’s central data warehouse, advancement, student data, market analyses, and peer institutions.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data by collaborating with the central campus data enablement team and performing regular data quality checks.
- Develop and consistently maintain periodic dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Tableau, Power BI and excel to communicate findings to school stakeholders.
- Collaborate with school management and departments to provide data-driven business recommendations and identify trends or patterns for business strategies and initiatives.
- Document methodologies, processes, and findings for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to discussions on data-related strategies and improvements.
- Conduct ad-hoc analysis as requested.
- Collaborate with internal data analytics groups to broaden overall data literacy and access (code sharing, knowledge sharing, etc.).
- Participate in data governance initiatives throughout the campus to ensure best practices and standards are being met.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management/computer information systems, computer engineering, information technology, mathematics, or a directly related field from an accredited institution.
- 1 year of professional experience in data analysis, business intelligence or directly related experience.
- Experience working with Python programming languages.
- Previous project experience in data analysis.
- Experience working with data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI, SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Experience with an Oracle SQL Server.
- Experience working with Snowflake.
