About the role
- Responsible for selling Optiv security services and security technology solutions to strategic accounts within a geographic territory.
Own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within assigned accounts and lead cross-functional teams to build and execute multi-year strategic account plans.
Identify and understand client security concerns and correlate to Optiv solutions; bring together Optiv personnel to refine/build security strategy and propose solutions.
Develop large and complex solutions (security management consulting, hardware/software technologies, advisory, implementation/support services, managed security services).
Establish trusted client relationships to make Optiv primary security solution partner; enhance client satisfaction and review goals quarterly.
Build a large sales pipeline, manage forecasts, execute with Force Management principles (MEDDICC), and communicate Optiv’s value proposition.
Collaborate with technology partners and internal Optiv teams to support opportunities and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Experience in product or services based sales typically gained over 5-7 years, ideally in a technology company.
Proven ability to build and execute territory and account prospecting and expansion plans with a track record of exceeding assigned quotas.
Experience engaging cross-functional resources such as sales, pre-sales technical support, and other support personnel in an effective fashion.
Demonstrated ability to build productive business relationships with key executives and sponsors within assigned accounts.
Effective presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
Negotiation experience
History of demonstrated achievement exceeding plan and expectations.
Desired: Strong business acumen and ability to correlate business goals with business and cyber security risk.
Experience in building and selling complex and multi-year hardware, software, services and financing solutions to Fortune 1000 clients.
Experience in and knowledge of the IT Infrastructure, IT security, Risk & Compliance markets and competitors.
Experience selling management consulting services.
Ability to immediately drive existing/past client relationships to Optiv.
Well connected in the local cybersecurity community.
