About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead all finance activities for the German operations within a multi-entity international group structure
  • Take full ownership of financial accounting, controlling, and reporting for German entities
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes under HGB, aligned with group-level IFRS requirements
  • Prepare and coordinate reporting packages and consolidation inputs
  • Deliver monthly management reporting, including margin, working capital, and cash flow analysis
  • Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Coordinate closely with international finance teams across Europe, the United States, and Asia-Pacific
  • Own the finance perspective of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP, including process and control optimization
  • Oversee treasury, liquidity management, banking relationships, and tax, VAT, and statutory compliance
  • Act as the primary finance counterpart in Germany and interface with the Group CFO and international management

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Additional professional qualification is advantageous
  • 9+ years of relevant experience in international industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments or consultancy, such as Big 4 Transaction Services and Audit
  • Strong expertise in German GAAP (HGB), financial reporting, and consolidation of multiple legal entities
  • Experience operating within an international group structure and reporting at senior level
  • Solid background across accounting and controlling disciplines
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is highly desirable
  • Fluent in German and professionally proficient in English
  • Hands-on, pragmatic approach with strong analytical and communication skills
