About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Determines suitability of patients for home care.
  • Supervises monitors and evaluates the quality of patient care provided by pharmacy staff.
  • Oversees daily activities regarding effective operations and communications.
  • Oversees activities of the pharmacies in assigned locations.
  • Schedules work activities of pharmacy staff.
  • Develops and mentors staff through onboarding, communication, training, and performance management processes.
  • Oversees product purchasing, inventory, budget, and equipment management.
  • Assists SDO in preparing, securing approval for, and implementing operating and expenditure budgets.
  • Evaluates and oversees the purchase, management, and security of medications and supplies.
  • Provides support to sales professionals and general manager by educating on available services.
  • Collects and organizes patient-specific information to prevent and resolve medication-related issues.
  • Monitors clinical staff’s documentation for home care and ATS patients.
  • Evaluates competency in pharmacokinetic principles.
  • Coordinates and participates in on-call responsibilities of the pharmacy department.
  • Manages the use of investigational drug products as per regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Graduate of an accredited school of pharmacy
  • Required licensure as a Pharmacist
  • At least 5 years of pharmacy management experience
  • At least 5 years of experience directly managing people
  • At least 3 years of experience in indirect management of team members
  • At least 3 years of experience planning, developing, and managing departmental expense and budgets
  • Experience compounding sterile products and managing patient care.
  • Experience overseeing purchasing and inventory process
  • Access to a reliable means of transportation
  • Active membership in a related state or national clinical, pharmaceutical, or home health care organization.
  • Experience in identifying operational issues and recommending strategies
  • Basic level skill in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
