About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Prepare and manage discovery responses, including completion of discovery questionnaires
- Draft, review, and organize pleadings, affidavits, contracts, and briefs
- Ensure legal documents are properly formatted, accurate, and ready for submission
- Organize and maintain case files, records, and legal documentation
- Track deadlines, filings, and case progress
- Manage correspondence and documentation related to ongoing cases
- Communicate with clients to gather information and conduct initial interviews
- Provide case progress updates and assist with client inquiries
- Communicate with clients, courts, and opposing counsel
- Coordinate with attorneys regarding document filings and compliance requirements
- Assist with case preparation and administrative legal tasks
- Support internal workflows to ensure smooth case progression
Requirements
What you’ll need- Prior experience as a Paralegal is required
- Experience working with a U.S. law firm is required
- California experience is a plus
- Experience in Trademark law and USPTO trademark applications and/or Federal Litigation is an advantage
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Strong writing proficiency
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proactive, flexible, and highly self-motivated
- Strong sense of accountability and initiative
- Must be reliable and have good communication skills
- Ability to work 8:30 AM–5:30 PM PST, Monday to Friday
