About the role
- Lead a full-cycle accounting close: Produce timely and accurate monthly financial statements
- Analyze financial reports and communicate results to founders
- Act as the point of contact for external auditors and tax preparers
- Oversee all bookkeeping, reconciliations, and accrual journal entries
- Manage Accounts Receivable (invoicing, collections), Accounts Payable (processing bills, setting up vendors), Payroll (set-up, processing, and benefits)
- Build financial models, budgets, and cash forecasts
- Demonstrate a strong accounting background and knowledge of GAAP
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree required; Master's Degree preferred
- A concentration in Accounting or Finance is preferred
- 10+ years of applicable experience in tech, CPG, and life science industries
- Big 4 or national and regional accounting experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, accounting theory, principles, and practices
- CPA preferred
- Microsoft Office proficiency
