About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Design, develop and maintain enterprise Power BI dashboards, reports and apps that clearly communicate business performance and insights across multiple stakeholder groups
Develop and optimise semantic data models using DAX and Power Query to ensure consistency, scalability and performance across the reporting environment
Translate complex business requirements into intuitive and meaningful visualisations that support informed decision making for senior leaders and operational teams
Implement and enforce Power BI governance standards, including workspace design, dataset certification, security controls and performance best practice
Collaborate closely with business leaders and technology teams to support strategic initiatives, improve data literacy and continuously enhance reporting solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience, typically four to six years, in a business intelligence or reporting role with strong end to end Power BI delivery experience
Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including DAX, Power Query and semantic data modelling
Strong SQL capability and experience sourcing data from enterprise data platforms such as Snowflake or equivalent
Solid understanding of data governance, security and best practice BI development standards
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics or a related field, with Power BI certification desirable
