About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You'll be responsible for smashing targets, and building relationships in the industry.
- Work with the entire Growth team to set priorities and strategic direction for new business.
- Actively prospect and engage new brands using a variety of channels including (but not limited to) cold calling; email; LinkedIn; networking events.
- Conduct discovery calls with all outbound and inbound leads.
- Be a champion for our users and advocate for them, partnering with Marketing and Product teams to continuously improve the product.
- Collect and record feedback throughout the sales process, suggesting changes where you identify areas for improvement.
- Go above and beyond to be an Opply spokesperson, exceeding growth targets in line with achieving the overall business objectives.
- Identify product improvements or new products by remaining current on industry trends, market activities and competitors.
- Attend industry events to network, build contacts, and represent Opply in the best light.
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2-5 years experience in high outbound Sales in a Business Development role
- B2B sales experience targeting SMB customers
- Early stage startup experience
- Have consistently exceeded sales targets, and motivated by the close
- Experience or interest in the food/consumer goods industry with brands and suppliers preferred
- Software sales experience preferred
- Tech sales experience preferred
- Experience selling to food/consumer goods industry brands and suppliers preferred
