About the role

  • Lead the strategic planning, development, and technical oversight of health initiatives across our Africa and Latin America programs
  • Ensure the implementation of sustainable, transformative health solutions—including mobile medical clinics, mosquito prevention, antenatal care, and WASH training
  • Support country teams, manage budgets, guide program development, and foster partnerships
  • Facilitate ministry activities and contribute to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience managing or supporting international public health programs, preferably in humanitarian or nonprofit settings
  • Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) strongly preferred
  • Spanish language proficiency preferred
  • Strong understanding of Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) methodologies and best practices
  • Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and awareness in cross-cultural environments
  • Proven ability to think critically, conduct research, and provide sound program recommendations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite with a willingness to learn new technologies and systems
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to effectively train and communicate with diverse audiences
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with high attention to detail
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and innovative with the ability to take initiative in dynamic environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Able to perform well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
  • Ability to travel periodically to headquarters in Virginia Beach, VA and internationally as assigned, up to 30% of the year, mostly to Latin America and Africa
  • Demonstrated life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB’s nonprofit Christian mission
