About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Provide technical vision in concert with enterprise architecture and product engineering for product design, development, deployment, and operationalization
Work with engineering and operations teams throughout the product lifecycle to provide expertise and direction on deployment, monitoring, logging, scale, security, and business continuity
Create standardized solutions and architectural blueprints for applications, infrastructure, and backing services
Define technologies and architecture for internal and public cloud deployments
Build relationships with client technical counterparts through solution scoping and planning meetings
Assist in creating proposals addressing current and evolving client requirements
Guide and transfer knowledge to team members
Train staff and provide on-the-job guidance and mentoring
Conduct training sessions for customer personnel when authorized by management
Support sales teams by providing new solutions and pricing for new opportunities
Collaborate with architects in Operations, Engineering, IT, and Customer Service

Requirements

What you’ll need

Demonstrable understanding of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS architectures
Ability to apply cloud architecture concepts to OpenText, public-cloud, and on-premise solutions
Deep knowledge of mixed operating-system environments
Knowledge of structured, non-structured, and distributed data platforms
Ability to apply concepts from one data-service API to another
Understanding of system hardware, storage subsystems, networking, common data protocols, and APIs
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and technologies such as Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform
Knowledge of JavaScript, Java, and Python
Strong experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Active high-level security clearance in the UK
