About the role

  • Lead negotiations with brands and partners on behalf of assigned athletes.
  • Set rates and terms consistent with athlete value and market context.
  • Push for best-in-class economics, fit, and outcomes for athletes.
  • Close agreements efficiently and professionally.
  • Serve as the primary deal contact for your athlete book.
  • Explain opportunities, timelines, and terms clearly.
  • Get approvals, answer questions quickly (text/call accessibility), and keep athletes confident in the process.
  • Take routed inbound opportunities from the Intake/Deal Desk flow.
  • Follow up with brands fast, gather missing details, and move deals forward.
  • Ensure every active deal is documented correctly and handed off for platform/campaign execution.
  • Partner with internal ops to confirm commissions, payouts, deliverables, and timelines.
  • Be the internal champion for athlete needs and priorities.
  • Raise red flags early (low quality deals, risky terms, mismatched partners) and propose solutions.
  • Provide ongoing feedback on deal trends, pricing, objections, and athlete sentiment to refine packages and systems.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in negotiation-heavy roles: talent representation, sponsorship sales, partnerships, sports marketing, influencer/creator management, or agency work.
  • Strong negotiator with the ability to drive value while protecting relationships.
  • Confident communicating money/terms with brands and simplifying them for athletes.
  • High responsiveness and comfort being “on call” for deal questions.
  • Can manage a large portfolio efficiently without losing quality.
  • Athlete-first lens and strong judgment.
