About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Hire, coach, develop, and lead a high-performing team of Field Security Specialists
  • Establish the team’s strategy, operating model, engagement criteria, coverage priorities, and customer-delivery standards
  • Prioritize specialist capacity across strategic customers, regions, and approved partner opportunities
  • Lead discovery with CISOs, security executives, engineering leaders, and practitioners to identify high-value AI-enabled security workflows
  • Set quality standards for demonstrations, workshops, reference architectures, pilots, evaluations, integrations, and implementation guidance
  • Ensure engagements have clear success criteria, appropriate data boundaries, validated findings, safe testing, auditability, and human approval for consequential actions
  • Coach specialists to distinguish evidence-backed security outcomes from unvalidated findings or overstated model capabilities
  • Partner with Sales, Solutions Engineering, AI Deployment Engineering, Product, Engineering, Research, Security, Legal, and GRC
  • Define qualification, escalation, engagement, and handoff practices across pre-sales and post-sales teams
  • Turn customer engagements into repeatable cyber plays, technical assets, enablement, and product feedback
  • Represent field perspectives in product and security discussions
  • Build an inclusive specialist team with clear engagement standards, predictable field coverage, and strong cross-functional partnerships

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Meaningfully led a customer-facing technical security, cybersecurity consulting, or solutions engineering team
  • Experience hiring, coaching, developing, and performance-managing highly technical team members
  • Genuine cybersecurity practitioner credibility
  • Ability to reason through threat models, trust boundaries, attack paths, exploitability, false positives, and safe remediation
  • Strong customer and commercial judgment across discovery, qualification, demonstrations, pilots, executive objections, adoption, and expansion
  • Ability to move between CISO business-risk priorities and practitioner technical evidence
  • Hands-on technical fluency with code, APIs, GitHub workflows, CI/CD systems, security tooling, agent architectures, integrations, and evaluation approaches
  • Understanding of retrieval, structured outputs, tool calling, evaluations, guardrails, telemetry, sandboxing, and human review in AI workflows
  • Evidence-based and integrity-focused approach to customer data, authorized testing, security claims, and high-consequence capabilities
  • Ability to allocate scarce specialist resources and create reusable leverage
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and build teams, processes, and customer motions from the ground up
  • Clear communication with technical, executive, and cross-functional audiences
  • Familiarity with OpenAI models, APIs, Codex, Codex Security, Daybreak, or related cyber capabilities (nice to have)
  • Experience with security-product companies, global systems integrators, or cybersecurity partners (nice to have)
  • Depth across application security, cloud security, identity, secure SDLC, vulnerability management, detection and response, or attacker tradecraft (nice to have)
  • Experience developing repeatable field assets, technical enablement, or product feedback mechanisms across multiple regions (nice to have)
  • Ability to work in the office three days per week
  • Authorization to work in the country where the job is located
