About the role
- Build and maintain scalable web applications using modern JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and related technologies
- Create reusable UI components and front-end infrastructure to accelerate product development
- Optimize client performance and ensure accessibility across browsers and devices
- Work closely with designers to implement intuitive, user-friendly interfaces
- Contribute to end-to-end product planning and decision-making
- Partner with design, product, and research teams to build responsive, performant, and secure web applications that bring OpenAI’s models to life
Requirements
- Have up to 6 years of professional experience building production web applications
- Fluent in TypeScript/JavaScript, React, and modern web tooling
- Experience building scalable web applications and reusable UI components
- Experience optimizing client performance and ensuring accessibility across browsers and devices
- Strong attention to design fidelity, performance, and accessibility
- Enjoy iterating quickly to deliver polished, user-focused features
- Ability to work closely with designers, product, and research teams
- Ability to work from our US office three days per week (application asks this)
