About the role

  • Help develop and maintain OpenAI’s QA/QC program at the site level for hyperscale data center construction, including standards, checklists, and acceptance protocols.
  • Review and approve contractor QA/QC plans to ensure alignment with project specifications and industry best practices.
  • Oversee site inspections for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scope.
  • Verify installation quality against design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Track and close punch list items, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions in coordination with contractors.
  • Partner with commissioning teams to ensure QA/QC documentation supports system readiness for integrated testing.
  • Maintain real-time quality tracking and reporting dashboards for program leadership.
  • Provide training and guidance to site teams on quality expectations, inspection processes, and documentation standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and integrating them into future project standards.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience managing QA/QC for mission-critical, hyperscale, or complex commercial developments.
  • Deep technical knowledge of construction means, methods, and quality standards across all major trades.
  • Skilled in interpreting design documents, specifications, and submittals to verify compliance in the field.
  • Experience developing and implementing quality management systems at a program or portfolio scale.
  • Experience overseeing site inspections for civil, structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical scope and verifying installation quality against design drawings, specifications, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Experience tracking and closing punch list items, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and corrective actions.
  • Experience partnering with commissioning teams to support system readiness for integrated testing.
  • Strong communication skills with executives, contractors, and site teams; able to translate technical findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Proactive in identifying potential quality issues before they impact cost or schedule.
  • Ability to provide training and guidance to site teams on quality expectations, inspection processes, and documentation standards.
  • Must be onsite 3-5 days per week in Burlington, TX.
