About the role
- Own and pursue a research agenda to identify the weakness of the model and improve it
- Build robust evaluations for tracking modeling improvements
- Design, implement, test, and debug code across our research stack
- Conduct fundamental research, contribute to large model training runs, and launch trained models as agent products
- Train and develop agents using large-scale reinforcement learning to perform real-world tasks, produce artifacts, and execute actions
- Ship frontier research as products, move prototypes to production, and focus on high-impact work as part of the Agents research team at OpenAI
Requirements
- Own and pursue a research agenda to identify the weakness of the model and improve it

- Design, implement, test, and debug code across our research stack
- Eager to advance the frontier of agent research and work on agents that can reason and act in the real world
- Work on large-scale reinforcement learning to train language models and contribute to big model training runs
- Ability to move quickly from prototype to production and take on a diverse set of responsibilities along the model development pipeline
- Work as part of a team to achieve more than what any one person can
- Must be able to work from our US office three days per week (hybrid, San Francisco based)
