About the role
- Lead design for high-profile brand experiences and campaigns including OOH, merch, interactive, traditional and digital media.
- Own projects end-to-end - from early concept and creative direction through final execution and production.
- Translate complex AI concepts into clear, emotionally resonant visual systems and storytelling moments across physical and digital environments.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners across Marketing, Research, Comms, Product, Events, and Production to shape cohesive brand experiences.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of OpenAI’s brand system, ensuring consistency while also pushing creative boundaries.
- Balance strategic thinking with detailed execution - from mood boarding and concept creation, to pixel-perfect final files.
- Provide creative leadership within projects, offering guidance, feedback, and direction to designers and partners when needed.
- Maintain exceptionally high standards of craft, clarity, and attention to detail across all deliverables.
Requirements
- Have 6+ years of experience in brand, experiential, campaign, or multidisciplinary design, ideally in-house or at a top creative studio.
- Have a proven ability to independently lead and run complex design projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Have strong conceptual thinking paired with refined visual craft and technical execution.
- Have experience working across physical and digital outputs (campaigns, environmental, merchandise, toolkits, systems).
- Have a portfolio demonstrating sophisticated taste, strong storytelling, and brand-building expertise.
- Are comfortable navigating ambiguity and evolving creative direction in a fast-moving environment.
- Have a deep attention to detail and pride in high-quality execution.
- Have strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence presenting and defending creative work.
