About the role
- Develop strategies and lead OpenAI’s public policy engagement in Ireland and the Nordic Countries
- Drive campaigns on specific policy issues
- Develop and manage relationships with key international partners
- Shape strategic initiatives and policy documents
- Prepare leaders for engagements with government officials
- Represent OpenAI in private and public forums
Requirements
- Experience managing relationships with policymakers and international civil society groups
- Sophisticated understanding of AI-related legislative issues and processes
- Proven experience navigating complex policy landscapes across multiple markets
- Established network with national policymakers and other key stakeholders
- Deep experience in technology policy
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of the European Union policy-making system and key policy issues related to AI
- Previous work on AI issues and technical AI development expertise is a significant plus
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in at least one additional language relevant to the region is a plus
