About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Ensure the availability of infrastructures and applications
- Ensure their proper operation in Cloud, on-premise or hybrid environments
- Primarily handle RUN activities (operational maintenance, operational support & N2/N3 administration, production deployment management, task automation)
- Monitor and optimize infrastructures and applications
- Maintain infrastructures in operational condition (O&M)
- Participate in study and project work: take ownership of a portfolio of projects
- Provide technical input for project planning and risk management
- Keep up-to-date with technology trends
- Act as level 3 escalation for complex incidents
Requirements
What you’ll need- University degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Several years of experience in production engineering
- Autonomous and proactive within the scope of responsibility
- Ability to manage an end-to-end scope (infrastructure / applications / DBMS)
- Willingness to work occasional out-of-hours and to join the existing on-call rota (24/7)
- Networking and systems skills (notably Linux & Unix)
- Strong expertise in RabbitMQ
- Experience with monitoring tools (Xymon is a plus)
- Database skills (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB)
- DevOps technologies (Docker, Ansible, GitLab CI)
