About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Ensure the availability of infrastructures and applications
Ensure their proper operation in Cloud, on-premise or hybrid environments
Primarily handle RUN activities (operational maintenance, operational support & N2/N3 administration, production deployment management, task automation)
Monitor and optimize infrastructures and applications
Maintain infrastructures in operational condition (O&M)
Participate in study and project work: take ownership of a portfolio of projects
Provide technical input for project planning and risk management
Keep up-to-date with technology trends
Act as level 3 escalation for complex incidents

Requirements

What you’ll need

University degree in Computer Science or a related field
Several years of experience in production engineering
Autonomous and proactive within the scope of responsibility
Ability to manage an end-to-end scope (infrastructure / applications / DBMS)
Willingness to work occasional out-of-hours and to join the existing on-call rota (24/7)
Networking and systems skills (notably Linux & Unix)
Strong expertise in RabbitMQ
Experience with monitoring tools (Xymon is a plus)
Database skills (Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB)
DevOps technologies (Docker, Ansible, GitLab CI)
