About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Listen to internal customers and sponsors and help drive strategy conversations, create vision presentations, and develop complex project plans.
  • Understand the big picture and value delivery while focusing on efficiencies and optimizations.
  • Create and manage project budgets from USD $100K-$5m.
  • Create order and stability using project management techniques and tools as appropriate for the project context.
  • Seamlessly orchestrate time zones, milestones, deadlines, and dependencies across multiple projects at once.
  • Break silos by building relationships and processes for interacting with subject matter experts within IT and across the organization.
  • Communicate clearly to stakeholders and other audiences through sophisticated change management plans, training plans and project communication plans.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors, including negotiating contracts, monitoring and evaluating vendor performance, and ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Motivate and protect the project team, solve problems, remove obstacles, anticipate issues, and manage risk.
  • Have the ability to recognize when projects are struggling and to course-correct when necessary, including stopping projects that are not meeting objectives.
  • Embrace IT Governance processes and procedures, stakeholder management and change management processes and techniques.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven project manager operating in a complex multi-country consulting, for-profit, or non-profit organization.
  • Experience using industry standard project management frameworks, tools and techniques to manage multiple projects simultaneously from initiation to closing (project management and change management certifications are highly valued).
  • Proven experience with change management, risk management, IT vendor management and control, and budget management up to USD $5 million.
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders in a matrix organization.
  • Experience managing cross-functional IT system implementations across multiple geographies and legal entities with an elevated IT security profile.
