About the role
- Submit and track claims through RCM and payer portals
- Monitor denials and resolve root causes promptly
- Communicate documentation issues clearly and professionally
- Collect patient responsibility (copays, deductibles, no-show fees)
- Track payer trends and escalate systemic issues
- Collaborate with our RCM vendor
- Maintain accurate spreadsheets and reporting
- Support audits and payer inquiries as needed
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years medical billing experience
- Strong understanding of CPT and ICD-10 coding
- Experience with major payer portals (Aetna, BCBS, Optum, Kaiser, etc.)
- Proficiency in Excel
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
- Experience in high-volume processing roles
- Private, distraction-free home workspace
- Reliable high-speed internet
- Full availability during scheduled work hours
