About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Opens, closes, and renews all types of savings, certificate of deposit and checking products quickly and accurately.
Provides exceptional service in handling clients in person or on the telephone.
Maintains a cash drawer, balances, and audits the cash drawer according to policy and schedule.
Processes Reject, Overdraft (OD), Non-Post, Stop and HOLD items.
Review & perform callback on various reports and items.
Communicates with customers and mail out notices for NSF, OD, and Return Items.
Research deposit account such as Account Statement Printing & Image Printing.
Scan New Account Documents for review and callback.
Processes Outgoing wire and keyboard item input and complete next day review.
Assist with Safe Deposit Box access to clients as well as assist in opening new deposit boxes.
Process Mail and Courier deposit, Messenger Service Deposit, Mobile & Remote Deposit, review, and submit.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Minimum one year of experience as an operation specialist in a bank operation required.
Retail sales and service experience, including cash handling, a plus.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or client complaints.
Good written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively and project a professional image when giving and taking information in writing, in person, and over the phone.
Accurate typing/keyboarding skills; basic computer skills, including the use of word processing, spreadsheet software applications, core banking process systems, e-mail, and on-line banking programs.
Be able to handle large amounts of cash.
