About the role

  • Deliver training sessions both internally to team members and externally to clients on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and simulation technologies
  • Handling customer requests from the support portal
  • Assisting client to adapt models and perform HIL test on site (up to 20% of work time)
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of training materials and programs related to power systems, control systems, and real-time simulation
  • Write technical reports, knowledge base and application notes, etc.
  • Participate in marketing events and technical seminars
  • Participate in overseas product roll-outs
  • Perform product demonstrations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or mechanical engineering
  • 0 to 2 years in a related field
  • Technical knowledge : MATLAB/Simulink and/or LabVIEW; Troubleshooting
  • Basic knowledge of these tools (asset) : NI Toolchains, Linux operating systems, FPGA and VHDL programming, Industrial and communication protocols (i.e. CAN, Modbus, SPI, Aurora)
  • Significant assets : Hardware-in-the-loop tools (RT-LAB, NI-Veristand, HYPERSIM, dSPACE, Speedgoat, Typhoon, or RTDS), Industrial HIL testing experience for a full electric vehicle, Simulation of power electronic converters, and Usage of Xilinx System Generator
  • Language abilities : Mandarin and English required, Japanese or Korean is an asset
  • Soft skills: Customer satisfaction, autonomy and proactivity, planning and organization, good communication skills, teamwork and interpersonal qualities, discipline and determination, flexibly and adaptation, able to deal with ambiguity and pressure
