Operations

• Lead the implementation and operation of our IT infrastructure, from hardware to software to AI tooling.
• Administer and optimize AI platforms company-wide, including Claude and other LLM-based tools — managing access, usage policies, integrations, and cost controls.
• Implement corporate device and application management policies in collaboration with our People and Legal teams, including policies governing AI tool usage and data handling.
• Act as the service owner for multiple company-wide SaaS applications, including AI-powered productivity and developer tools.
• Act as a solutions architect and strategist for the applications and services OP Labs relies upon, with a forward-looking perspective on where AI fits into our stack.
• Lead projects to audit and optimize our SaaS and AI portfolio, focusing on improvements to security, permissions, automation, scalability, end-user experience, and license usage.
• Own the setup and upkeep of office collaboration infrastructure, including conference room AV equipment, video calling hardware, and network/WiFi reliability — ensuring remote and in-person Optimists can connect seamlessly.
• Develop programs and processes to communicate and drive adoption of new IT product features company-wide, including onboarding Optimists to tools effectively and safely.
• Evaluate new tools and capabilities as they emerge, and make recommendations on adoption, consolidation, or deprecation.

IT Operations Engineer

• Own and execute strategy
• Define and lead Optimism’s strategy for institutions end-to-end - act like a GM
• Identify high-leverage market entry points (e.g., stablecoin corridors, embedded finance use cases, B2B/B2C rails)
• Translate protocol advantages into compelling narratives tailored to institutional decision-makers
• Originate and close deals
• Source, structure, and close high-impact partnerships with institutions
• Drive product alignment
• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, and partner teams to ensure successful integration and onboarding
• Channel market feedback to influence roadmap decisions (e.g., compliance features, wallet UX, account abstraction)
• Shape internal Optimism offerings (e.g., SDKs, liquidity support, ecosystem programs) to better meet institution partner needs
• Represent Optimism at industry events, institutions conferences, and global policy forums
• Publish thought leadership on programmable money, composable compliance, and the future of payments infrastructure
• Build and maintain strong relationships with ecosystem players (wallets, stablecoin issuers, banking-as-a-service providers, L2s)

Enterprise Sales Lead

Sales Engineer

• Support deal execution & technical validation
• Act as the primary technical counterpart for enterprise and institutional partners during evaluations, pilots, and integrations into production systems
• Lead technical discovery sessions covering architecture, performance, security, compliance, and operational requirements
• Design and support test environments (e.g., devnets, performance benchmarks, cloud deployments, etc) to validate throughput, latency, and cost assumptions
• Respond to detailed technical diligence from banks, asset managers, system integrators, and regulators
• Bridge product, engineering, and customers
• Translate enterprise requirements into clear technical feedback for OP Labs product and engineering teams
• Help shape roadmap priorities related to institutional needs (e.g., performance, compliance tooling, privacy, sequencing models)
• Support integrations with wallets, custody providers, cloud infrastructure, and system integrators (e.g., Fireblocks, AWS, SIs)
• Enable partners for production readiness
• Guide partners through OP Stack architecture, deployment models, upgrade paths, and operational best practices
• Support documentation localization and technical enablement in Japanese
• Help customers compare and migrate from private / permissioned experimentation to public or hybrid production deployments
