Applications Engineer 2
Onto InnovationApplications Engineer supporting customers with AOI 2D & 3D products through troubleshooting and training. Providing technical direction to maximize product sales and ensure customer satisfaction.
About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Deliver technical presentation and perform system demonstration/sample inspection/measurement for customers.
- Provide both on-site and remote applications support to customers.
- Assist customers in solving problems related to the application of inspection tools to their manufacturing processes.
- Supports the Applications Lab with input to customer Test Plans and provides execution support when required.
- Interface with external customers and internal departments to best determine equipment specifications.
- Work together with FSE to carry out the final acceptance for new tool installation as well as customer training
- Report on results of experiments, tests and studies, provide preliminary interpretation.
- Aid in design and development of new equipment or redesign of existing systems to meet customer requirements.
- Apply good problem-solving skills to solve customer issues and applications.
- Establish good relationship with customer and develop commercial awareness in order to feedback the business opportunity to Rudolph salesman.
- Collect & feedback marketing information to reinforce Rudolph’s competitive position.
- Overseas travel for cross regions support will be required.
Requirements
What you’ll need- Master degree preferred, will consider experience versus degree
- More than 8 years hands on experience with AOI products
- Good written and verbal communication skills essential
- Ability to work with limited direction and take initiative to solve problems
- Can function in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English (TOEIC:700)
