About the role
- Assessment of customer security posture, needs and technical requirements
- Presentation of security services including live demos
- Lead technical workshops and architecture sessions
- Complete RFP responses and actively participate in RFP defense meetings along with the Product and Sales teams
- Challenging and updating customers' outdated security approaches with our best-practice solutions
- Handover of new customers to account management and delivery teams
Requirements
- Strong technical background in cybersecurity, including Defender for Endpoint, Microsoft Sentinel, and the broader Microsoft E5 Security stack
- Solid understanding of core security domains: identity protection, endpoint security, cloud and network security
- Experience developing and maintaining customer relationships
- Familiarity with the DACH SOC landscape to support strategic customer consultations
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate technical value into business impact
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams
- Willingness to travel for customer engagements and industry events
- Must-Have: Native German speaker, fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or similar customer-facing technical role, ideally within IT security
- Nice to haves: Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with the Microsoft cloud portfolio and the M365 E5 security suite, including Defender for Identity, Defender for Office 365, and Purview
- Background in MXDR, MDR, or SOC services sales, with an understanding of operational models and customer needs
- Experience selling platform-led solutions, with the ability to position integrated value across multiple technologies and services
