About the role

  • Assist in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and warehouse solutions to ensure reliable, timely access to key business data.
  • Support integration of data from multiple sources, including ERP, CRM, e-commerce ( e.g. Shopify), and POS systems.
  • Help implement and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure on AWS ( e.g. Redshift, RDS, EC2, S3).
  • Develop SQL scripts and Python automation for ETL/ELT workflows and data transformations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot data pipelines to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
  • Support dashboard creation and data visualization using BI tools such as Power BI, Looker Studio, or Tableau.
  • Contribute to maintaining data governance, security, and quality across systems.
  • Collaborate with business teams to understand data needs and support analytical reporting.
  • Continuously learn and improve technical and analytical skills under mentorship from senior data engineers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science , Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics, or database management.
  • Solid understanding of SQL and Python for data manipulation and automation.
  • Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably AWS) and data warehousing concepts.
  • Exposure to BI tools ( e.g. Power BI, Looker Studio, Tableau, or AWS QuickSight).
  • Understanding of ETL/ELT principles and experience with tools like Airbyte or similar is a plus.
  • Knowledge of retail or e-commerce data workflows (ERP, CRM, Shopify) is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset, with an eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate in a team-oriented setting.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); proficiency in Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus.
