About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential suites and common areas.
Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, caulking, hardware, and finishing repairs.
Drywall patching, painting, and touch-ups.
Door, lock, cabinet, and hardware repairs.
Minor carpentry and finishing work.
Appliance troubleshooting and basic repairs.
Caulking, weather stripping, and minor flooring repairs.
Troubleshoot basic appliance and maintenance issues.
Assist with suite turnovers and deficiency repairs.
Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Communicate repair status and identify work requiring licensed contractors.
Maintain accurate records of completed work.
Follow company safety procedures and property policies.
Travel between assigned properties as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need

2 years of handyman, construction, renovation, or building maintenance experience.
Broad knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently.
Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
Own basic tools.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Professional, dependable, and organized.
Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and using ladders.
Experience working in occupied residential buildings is an asset.
