About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential suites and common areas.
  • Perform minor plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting, caulking, hardware, and finishing repairs.
  • Drywall patching, painting, and touch-ups.
  • Door, lock, cabinet, and hardware repairs.
  • Minor carpentry and finishing work.
  • Appliance troubleshooting and basic repairs.
  • Caulking, weather stripping, and minor flooring repairs.
  • Troubleshoot basic appliance and maintenance issues.
  • Assist with suite turnovers and deficiency repairs.
  • Respond to work orders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Communicate repair status and identify work requiring licensed contractors.
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work.
  • Follow company safety procedures and property policies.
  • Travel between assigned properties as required.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2 years of handyman, construction, renovation, or building maintenance experience.
  • Broad knowledge of residential repairs and maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and complete repairs independently.
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable vehicle.
  • Own basic tools.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Professional, dependable, and organized.
  • Ability to perform physical work, including lifting, bending, and using ladders.
  • Experience working in occupied residential buildings is an asset.
