About the role

  • Oversee the preparation and review of federal and state tax returns, particularly business returns for partnerships (Form 1120S).
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. tax regulations and filing requirements.
  • Provide strategic tax planning and advisory services to clients.
  • Manage and mentor a team of tax professionals, providing guidance and support.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their business operations and develop tailored tax solutions.
  • Conduct tax research and stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Assist with the resolution of tax audits and inquiries.
  • Prepare financial statements and reports related to tax engagements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of tax processes and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or MST is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. tax, with a focus on business returns for partnerships (Form 1120S).
  • Strong understanding of federal and state tax regulations.
  • Proven experience in managing tax engagements and leading a team.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented and able to work effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and professionalism.
