About the role

  • Be the technical owner of multi-cloud infrastructure and data strategy
  • Design, build, and operate key systems while setting technical direction
  • Work with the founding and senior development team for critical build-vs-buy decisions
  • Define and execute the multi-cloud infrastructure roadmap
  • Own the technical strategy for Kubernetes-based deployment infrastructure
  • Build, deploy, and monitor distinct deployments using IaC
  • Interface with Fortune 500 IT and security teams
  • Engineer DevOps tooling and automation layers for data onboarding
  • Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into infrastructure capabilities

Requirements

  • 6+ years in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or backend/data engineering roles
  • Focus on Cloud Infrastructure/DevOps and Python proficiency
  • At least 2 years in a senior technical capacity where you made architectural decisions
  • Deep expertise with Kubernetes and IaC frameworks (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi)
  • Experience deploying software into external, highly regulated enterprise environments
  • Strong Python skills with modern data processing libraries (e.g. Polars) and API frameworks (FastAPI)
  • Experience with TypeScript/React or Rust is a plus
  • Track record of making significant architectural decisions and seeing them through to production at scale
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
