About the role
- Define and execute our multi-cloud infrastructure roadmap
- Own the technical strategy for our Kubernetes-based deployment infrastructure
- Build, deploy, and monitor container-based services
- Engineer the DevOps tooling and automation layers that streamline our data onboarding
- Develop and optimise APIs and data processing systems using Python (Polars/FastAPI)
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to translate business requirements into robust infrastructure capabilities
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies
Requirements
- 6+ years in software engineering, cloud infrastructure, or backend/data engineering roles
- Python proficiency and at least 2 years in a senior technical capacity
- Deep, hands-on expertise with Kubernetes
- Major cloud providers (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS)
- IaC frameworks (Terraform, OpenTofu, Pulumi)
- Strong Python skills with modern data processing libraries (e.g. Polars)
- Experience with TypeScript/React or Rust is a plus
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
