About the role

  • Research payment systems: Study payment provider documentation (APIs, workflows, limitations), Understand authentication mechanisms (tokens, signatures, certificates), Evaluate whether a specific provider is a good fit for our needs
  • Analyze payment processes: Understand payment flows: charges, refunds, subscriptions, Review payment security measures (3D Secure, card tokenization), Analyze how payment status notifications work (webhooks)
  • API testing: Build and send requests to payment systems (using Postman or similar tools), Validate request signatures, Prepare request collections for the team, Work with provider sandbox/test environments
  • Documentation: Write technical specifications for developers (what needs to be built and how), Create field and error mapping tables, Design process flows (step-by-step payment journeys), Prepare checklists for validating completed integrations
  • Collaboration: Work closely with developers, QA engineers, and integration managers, Clarify requirements during development, Conduct demos and acceptance testing, Maintain documentation in Confluence/Jira
  • Quality control: Prepare test scenarios for integrations, Help investigate issues and troubleshoot problems, Update documentation when providers introduce changes

Requirements

  • 1,5–2 years of experience as an analyst in fintech, payments, or similar domains
  • Understanding of payment systems: card payments, alternative payment methods, 3D Secure, settlement processes
  • Experience working with APIs: REST APIs, JSON/XML, ability to read API documentation
  • Confident use of Postman for API testing
  • Understanding of security concepts: request signing (HMAC, RSA), tokens (OAuth, JWT)
  • Ability to write clear technical requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria)
  • Experience with diagrams and process flows (UML, BPMN)
  • Basic SQL for data validation
  • Experience with Jira/Confluence
  • English - B1 (Intermediate)
