About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Provide nursing services and emergency first-aid treatments to employees who become ill or suffer accidents on company premises
  • Arrange transportation to other care providers when needed and notify concerned parties
  • Participate as an active member of the First Aid/Emergency Response Team
  • Administer medications, injections, minor treatments, and therapies under physician supervision
  • Provide preventive health evaluations, screenings, health profiles, and health promotion education
  • Promote employee well-being resources and programs across the site, region, country, and/or globally
  • Maintain accurate clinical and employee medical records in approved formats and EMR systems
  • Advise and counsel employees within core competencies and make appropriate referrals
  • Provide advice, counsel, and education access to first aid personnel
  • Develop knowledge of occupational hazards and their treatment for the specific location
  • Assist with medical leaves of absence and Workers’ Compensation processes
  • Participate in evaluations of Health Services & Resources effectiveness
  • Support Occupational Health Clinic operations and maintain the facility in a clean and sanitary condition
  • Advise employees on available organizational services and facilities
  • Participate in internal or cross-functional projects and teams
  • Apply Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives in day-to-day interactions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Registered Nurse license
  • Associate’s degree in nursing or equivalent education
  • Must comply with local and state laws and regulatory requirements
  • Must comply with limitations of scope of practice
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Participation in the Bloodborne Pathogens program
  • Active participation in the site Emergency Response Team
  • Knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, ADA, and related regulatory areas preferred
  • Three to five years of occupational health, emergency room, intensive, or acute care nursing experience preferred
  • Occupational Health Nursing and Case Management certification preferred or ability to acquire within three years of employment
  • Spirometry and Audiometry certification preferred or ability to acquire within one year of employment
  • Working knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and STD/LTD preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficiency with Zoom, MS Teams, Outlook, and productivity or portal technology
