About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Partner with engineering, operations, and product teams to turn complex platform requirements into scalable solutions.
Own critical infrastructure across CI/CD, Kubernetes, data platforms, and networking.
Automate build, test, security scanning, and deployment to ensure product teams can ship safely.
Architect and maintain IaC frameworks for policy-compliant provisioning.
Deploy, tune, and operate containerized workloads and OSS services on Kubernetes.
Manage cloud data platforms and relational/NoSQL databases, including performance tuning and capacity planning.
Design HA/DR architectures and optimize cloud networking for performance and security.
Lead on-call escalation and root cause analysis for incidents.
Administer Linux servers and Cisco networking equipment.
Run code reviews, set engineering standards, and evaluate emerging cloud-native technology.

Requirements

What you’ll need

B.S. in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
5+ years of senior/expert-level DevOps and cloud architecture experience across Azure, GCP, and on-premises private clouds.
Expert in CI/CD operations, GitHub Actions pipelines, branching strategy, build optimization, and static/dynamic code analysis integration.
Expert in Kubernetes architecture and administration, plus Linux configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
Expert in GitOps-driven public and private cloud provisioning and secure network design (ingress/egress, service discovery, DNS).
Expert in building highly available, redundant service architectures and observability (Grafana, Prometheus, Datadog, Loki, Mimir, Tempo, OpenTelemetry).
Expert in on-prem hardware, including Nutanix clusters, general and GPU compute, and Cisco networking/firewall appliances.
Proficient with self-managed, redundant streaming and messaging platforms (Kafka, KurrentDB, RabbitMQ/ActiveMQ) on bare metal and Kubernetes operators.
Proficient with relational (MySQL, Postgres, CockroachDB) and NoSQL/columnar (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse, Cassandra) database platforms.
Experience mentoring junior engineers.
