About the role
- Lead and improve user-facing features and shared experiences across multiple product lines (design systems, marketing, platform services)
- Shape product roadmap collaboratively with Product and partner with Engineering to design intuitive experiences
- Use design research, competitive analysis, and product/data insights to drive continuous improvement
- Directly engage with field teams and customers to deepen product value and impact
- Own and drive complex programs of work across cross-functional partners
- Attract, hire, mentor, and develop design talent; foster a collaborative, psychologically safe team culture
- Advocate for and apply Design Thinking across the organization to deliver seamless end-to-end customer experiences
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in product design or user experience
- 5+ years leading design projects, with experience managing designers or teams
- 3+ years of experience partnering with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
- Bachelor’s degree in Product Design, Interaction Design, Fine Arts, or related field—or equivalent practical experience
- Deep appreciation for the full spectrum of design disciplines: interaction, visual, content, motion, and research
- Proven track record of shipping products across platforms and geographies, and mentoring others through the process
- High proficiency with tools like Figma, Miro, Usertesting.com, Dovetail, and other standard design and research platforms
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end thinking, critical problem-solving, and design craft
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing
- Self-starter with excellent time management, organizational skills, and obsessive attention to detail
- Preferred: experience setting platform strategies, envisioning complex interactions, and working in financial services (consumer lending)
