Key responsibilities & impact

Drive profitable portfolio performance by managing a dedicated book of renewal business, conducting comprehensive underwriting reviews approximately 90 days prior to expiration.
Protect underwriting integrity and portfolio quality by evaluating risks against established appetite and authority thresholds.
Provide strategic underwriting recommendations by preparing thorough referral packages for accounts exceeding authority limits.
Maintain audit ready policy documentation through the ongoing organization, management, and quality control of electronic policy files.
Deliver operational excellence by issuing Package, Commercial Marine, and Umbrella/Bumbershoot policies within 48 hours of receipt.
Strengthen underwriting compliance by proactively obtaining, tracking, and following up on outstanding broker documentation.
Enhance broker relationships and service excellence by serving as a trusted point of contact for policy, coverage, and billing inquiries.

Requirements

What you’ll need

An associate’s degree from an accredited college, technical school, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related work experience.
At least one year of relevant professional experience is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and the ability to learn underwriting systems and tools.
A strong desire to stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
