About the role
- Notify members that their premium is due and assist members with making payments or setting up recurring payments.
- Mail reminder and lapse letters timely from the system and review retention reports daily.
- Consistently meet expectation of at least 50 outbound calls per day and work through assigned unpaid accounts.
- Assist on payment line to ensure calls are taken timely for members ready to pay; work credit card expiring tasks and EFT failed accounts.
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of Affinity life and health plans offered; self-motivated to keep bill count and premium on the books.
Requirements
- Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- 2+ years of experience in customer service and/or sales, preferably in the insurance industry or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proficient PC skills and ability to learn new software programs.
- Illinois Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance license or the ability to become licensed within 90 days of hire.
- Self-motivated to meet goals and maintain bill count and premium on the books.
- Ability to consistently make at least 50 outbound calls per day and assist on payment line tasks.
