About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead and oversee the technology operations of our Electronic Money Institution (EMI)
  • Ensure the reliability, security, scalability, and regulatory compliance of our systems
  • Support IT and technology strategies aligned with business objectives and EMI regulatory requirements
  • Oversee day-to-day IT operations, including networks, servers, cloud infrastructure, and end-user support
  • Manage disaster recovery planning and business continuity processes
  • Establish and maintain robust cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST)
  • Ensure compliance with relevant EMI regulations (e.g., FCA requirements, PSD2, GDPR)

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Proven experience in IT/Technology management, preferably within fintech, banking, or EMI environments
  • Strong understanding of payment systems, e-money platforms, and financial infrastructure
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and frameworks
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements (FCA, PSD2, upcoming PSD3 and PSR frameworks, GDPR)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, ITIL, AWS/Azure certifications) are highly desirable
  • Experience working within an FCA-regulated EMI or financial institution
