About the role
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end payroll process for our global workforce, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness.
- Develop and implement payroll policies and procedures that comply with local and international regulations, with a familiarity on payroll operations in India.
- Perform month end close responsibilities including booking journal entries, reconciliations and reporting for flux review meetings.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of payroll processes with overall company objectives.
- Implement and manage payroll systems and tools that support our growth and enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including tax filings, reporting, and audits.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor and analyze payroll metrics and KPIs to identify areas for improvement and drive continuous process enhancements.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to ensure our payroll operations remain cutting-edge and competitive.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPP) is a plus.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in payroll, preferably within a fintech or technology-driven company.
- Extensive knowledge of payroll regulations and compliance requirements in the US and a plus if you have experience managing payroll operations in India.
- Proficiency in payroll software and systems, with the ability to implement and optimize new tools and technologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- High level of integrity and professionalism, with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with care.
