About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage assigned end-to-end lifecycle activities of reforestation projects, including pipeline development, project onboarding, contracting, budgeting, implementation oversight, monitoring, reporting, and project closeout.
  • Identify, assess, and advance strategic, landscape-aligned project opportunities that support OTP’s global strategy and regional priorities in Latin America.
  • Manage implementing partner relationships for assigned projects, including due diligence, contract development, milestone tracking, deliverables collection, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
  • Support project financial management, including budget development & co-financing alignment, in order to ensure financial accuracy and accountability.
  • Track and manage project performance against OTP KPIs by proactively identifying risks, delays, or underperformance, and supporting corrective or adaptive management actions in partnership with leadership.
  • Ensure timely and high-quality partner reporting, including narrative updates, geospatial data (e.g., KML, shapefiles), survival data, and photo/video documentation.
  • Prepare high-quality donor reports for assigned projects, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with OTP’s reporting standards.
  • Conduct field visits and site verifications as needed to assess implementation quality, validate reported outcomes, and capture content for communications and donor engagement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • BACHELOR’S DEGREE or acceptable combination of equivalent experience in Environmental science, forestry, natural resources, international development, project management, or a related field required; advanced degree preferred, or an acceptable combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 5-7 years experience in project management or program coordination, ideally within conservation, reforestation, natured-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting multi-country or global programs, including coordination across diverse geographies and time zones.
  • Experience working with implementing partners, NGOs, or community-based organizations, including managing relationships and supporting delivery of field-based projects
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end project lifecycle management, including planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring, and closeout.
  • Experience supporting Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (MRV) processes or similar frameworks, ensuring strong data quality and consistency.
  • Experience preparing or supporting donor reports and donor-facing communications, translating technical outputs into clear, outcome-oriented narratives.
  • Proven ability to coordinate across remote, distributed teams, driving coordination, follow-through, and timely delivery without direct supervisory authority.
  • Ability to review and synthesize technical project data, including geospatial information and impact metrics (e.g., survival rates, hectares restored, carbon and biodiversity indicators).
  • Proficiency with project management and data systems (e.g., Airtable, Salesforce, Excel/Sheets), including managing large datasets and maintaining data integrity across platforms.
  • Bilingual communication skills with the ability to coordinate projects, manage stakeholder communication, and collaborate effectively across diverse teams in both English and Spanish; additional languages (e.g., French or Portuguese) are a plus.
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to work effectively across diverse geographic and cultural contexts.
  • Willingness to travel (~25%)
